  • 2A valid, government-issued photo ID — driver license, state ID, or passport.
  • 3Any required witnesses. Some documents need them — not sure? Just ask when you text.

Frequently asked questions

First time using a notary? These cover almost everything people ask.

What do I need to have ready?
Two things: the document you need notarized (please don’t sign it ahead of time — you’ll sign it in front of your notary) and a valid, government-issued photo ID such as a driver license, state ID, or passport.
Do I need witnesses?
Some documents — like a will or certain powers of attorney — require one or two witnesses in addition to the notary. A notary can actually serve as both notary and a witness on some documents; the key rule is that a notary can’t notarize their own signature. On some documents the witnesses’ signatures must themselves be notarized — in that case the notary can’t also be a witness. On documents where the witnesses’ names don’t have to be notarized, the notary can also act as a witness. If you’re not sure, just tell us the document type when you text and we’ll let you know what’s needed.
How much does it cost?
Florida sets the notary fee at $10 per signature notarized. Because we come to you, there’s also a travel fee that depends on your location and how quickly you need us. Text us your document type and address and we’ll give you a clear, all-in price before we meet — no surprises.
How fast can you come?
Often the same day, including evenings and weekends. For urgent needs, text us with “urgent” and your location and we’ll tell you the soonest we can be there.
Can a notary really perform our wedding?
Yes. Florida law allows a notary public to solemnize marriages. You’ll need a Florida marriage license from any county clerk first. Florida residents have a 3-day waiting period (waived if you complete an approved premarital course); there’s no waiting period for out-of-state couples. The license is valid for 60 days and can be used in any Florida county.
What is a VIN verification and do I need one?
If you’re titling or registering a vehicle that’s from out of state, Florida requires the VIN to be physically verified on form HSMV 82042. As Florida notaries we’re authorized to inspect your vehicle, confirm the VIN matches your paperwork, and complete the form so you can register the vehicle.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. Our notaries are commissioned Florida notaries public, bonded and insured, serving Northeast Florida since 2015.
